Entry Level Brewing

Brewing with liquid or dry malt extract is a great way to get your foot into the door of home-brewing. These extracts are derived from the same type of malts used in all grain brewing, but save you the hassle of all of the extraction through mashing! If you're feeling ready to go to the next step, scroll on down to the Partial Mash recipes and give them a shot.

Recipes

Extract Brews

Liquid or dry malt extract makes brewing simple.

Farmhouse-Style Saison

A saison is the perfect entry into brewing. Forgiving throughout fermentation, this style is easy to make and even easier to drink.

West Coast IPA

A crisp, slightly bitter, crystal clear IPA to whet your palate on a hot day!

American Light Lager

A crushable, home-brew version of the big brand light beers.

Partial Mash

Similar to extract brewing, but with grains to steep.

American Wheat Ale

Pale malt, white wheat, and coriander make this citrus forward beer great with a seafood dinner. Just do us a favor, don't put an orange on the glass!

Oatmeal Stout

This rich, dark, roasty beer will leave hints of chocolate, vanilla, and coffee on your palatte.

Berliner Weisse

A slightly tart, incredibly refreshing, fruity beer that makes for a perfect summer drinker.
